Get Your Tape Measure Out And Find Where ‘Extraordinary’ Reads: Extraordinary Measures Should Be Around There Somewhere

After both blockbuster films that came out in 2008, “Journey to the Center of the Earth 3-D,” and “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor,” Brendan Frasier steps into the spotlight of a true story with ‘Indiana Jones’s Harrison Ford. Both in their battle and struggle to save John Crawley’s son and daughter that has Pompe, “Extraordinary Measures” does have hope in means of scientific breakthroughs. It is amazing what scientists do today that find the means to save a life with a type of enzyme. This movie is filled up from beginning to end with this brilliant and amazing performance.
A father, John Crawley (played by Brendan Frasier), tries to save his daughters life by showing that he is the brave one to his wife and the people he works for in the company… Now we know about why distance can be seen by measures; hence, the title of the film “Extraordinary Measures.” From flying out of town to working right next door to his family, he raised, is a leap of faith. He represents the company he knows that can support Dr. Robert Stonehill’s (played by Harrison Ford) work. As a scientist and research scientist, that Harrison Ford portrays and has portrayed before, fit the anger, the frustration and the pissed off set points that showed the character of Stonehill. How Mr. Ford pulled it off, is because he did it before in all four Indiana Jones films, 2001’s blockbuster horror “What Lies Beneath,” and a scientific engineer in the early “Star Wars” films. With much experience in his acting career like “Patriot Games” and “Clear and Present Danger,” he makes an outstanding performance in this film along with Brendan Frasier. These two actors never worked together before in any other films but the chemistry seemed contemplating yet challenging.
The film looks like it took a lot of guts to get all the scenes right, but as always with Brendan Frasier it’s “likewise.” He will never give up saying that in most of the films he is in. With ‘Extraordinary’ put on top of it, he worked harder this time in his acting role than the usual films he was in before. Not so much of undermining “With Honors,” he set the record straight somewhere close to two decades later.
For every true story film, “Extraordinary Measures” went through the same detail oriented voice over’s. For this particular film, it is not like that. They had the snip-its right where they wanted it to be, according to the direction of the film. The directive on both sides of Ford and Frasier’s parts flowed, filling up some weak areas with water. In this case, based on the topic in the film, the enzymes filled up nicely with sugar, saving mostly Crawley’s daughter that kept fighting to stay alive. Since true story films are unpredictable, the direct component aims toward an emotional fight in the audience. If ingredients are listed on the back of medications, as well as directions on how to take them, just remember the directions when seeing this film: Apply face to the big screen and let the emotional implications dissolve through your nervous system.
The story of “Extraordinary Measures” takes place in modern times where each setting and theme fits for the characters in the film. The storyline made it’s attack on emotional responses in the audience in the duration of character development in the film. How each actor played their part made the same continual affects. It never died out in the conflicts that were substantial in the story. It was written the same way the storyline made it out to be. The writing grabbed onto that ladder and pulled its weight up and up. Extraordinary Measures found it’s length, height, width and weight. Not much can be said about it even more, other than what “Extraordinary Measures” is said to be called as. Coming from a sensitive emotional person that I really am, I give it two thumbs up. I definitely recommend it for everyone to see. I give the film 4 stars.
