Why did Mike Myers "high-concept" attempt not work?

"The Love Guru" leads Razzie Award contenders (the awards they give to the worst films).

Now, I haven't seen "The Love Guru" but from the trailer, I could tell that it was Mike Myers attempt to do Austin Powers as a guru. Now making high-concept films, or films with similar storylines to other popular films, usually works...when it is done right.

You see, if you look at I.S. member Alyn Darnay's book "The Script," you would see that high concept works only when a certain number of elements are different.

This movie seemed too much the same...even the same set of actors.

But, I didn't see the film so I can't say too much. Can anyone else comment on how this did so poorly in the box office?
