"The Incubus" distributed nationwide

Writer-director Shayne Leighton, who also starred in "The Incubus," said she feels humbled to see her film in Blockbuster and by the fact that it can be watched by people all over the country. When she went into Blockbuster for a photo-op after the release date on Dec. 6, she found not only did the staff recognize her, but also someone had already rented out the movie. Now, that is star-power! The film already had a limited theatrical release and has a popular soundtrack based on the film. Leighton has published a book called "Of Light and Darkness: Of Light and Darkness: The Vampire's Daughter!" and has been working on a second book in the saga and has been directing music videos and book trailers for herself and others in addition to working on other projects!

Melissa Mackenzie, of Maverick Entertainment, said of the distribution process" Generally we receive over 100 films a month to review for acquisition consideration. Once reviewed which can take about 30-45 days, then we make an offer to acquire the rights to distribute the title.
