The Miami Jewish Film Festival features a wide array of films in various locations. Their opening night gala kicked off the festivities on Jan. 23 at O Cinema with not only a showing of "When Comedy Went To School" by Lawrence Richards, but also a smorgasboard of kosher delights and libations.
They have many events still coming up, everything from a 75th anniversary presentation of "Mamele," featuring a performance by a Jewish chorale on Feb. 1 to a free showing of Spielberg's "An American Tail" with popcorn and soda for kids.
The closing night film, "The Zig Zag Kid," by Vincent Bal, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. at Frank Theaters Intracoastal will be followed with an announcement of the Audience Award winner.
