- What are you looking for here?
- Business and social contacts. I am interested in producing my own films so investors are always welcome. To get the money you must be able to show the investor you have a team of film makers and business men capable of executing the script the investor has approved. That requires extensive contacts.
- Tell us about your experience:
- I have always been studying the structure and nature of story telling since I read the Iliad and the Oddyssey when I was eight years old. For many years I worked in the postal service until I took a date to see the prebroadway run of Jekyll&Hyde the musical. Hearing Linda Eder star of the show sing awoke an artistic urge in me that I could not deny.
It manifested innitially in creating art work that glorified Linda and her shows. I tried to create a merchandizing arm for Broadway shows similar to what is available to fans of sci-fi movies and T.V. I commisioned collectible cards, dolls, sculptures, miniature stage dioramas, Christmass tree ornaments, etc. Unfortunately while the actors and their agencys were very enthusiastic the producers were uncooperative and refused to sell me the licensing to their shows.
For over a year I was depressed over my failure and researched religious texts of many different faiths. Way before "The Da Vinci Code" I discovered the divine feminine in mystical faiths like Cabbala, Sufism and Gnostism. She also appeared in Plotinism the Greek philosophical faith, the beliefs of anciant Sumar and anciant Egypt and many others to numerous to list.
My faith renewed I decided since producers would not provide me licensing I would create my own product and set out to learn the art of screenwriting. Since I have made that decision I have a half dozen projects either finished or nearly finished. They all have a commen thread in that they are either literally or figurativly devoted to the divine feminine in one form or another. This does not restrict a writer a much as you might think. Since I believe every love story divine in nature and I consider stories like Tale of Two Cities to be a divine feminine alagory I have an almost unlimited range of subject and character.
One thing you will never find me writing is torture porn. I find it offensive and degrading to woman. I love fantasy and horror but draw the line when the purpose of the story is to get a thrill from people being butchered.
My best advice to any one is never abandon your MUSE.
